Field notes: Quiet instrumentals for long autumn nights
The last playlist in the guide is the quietest. Fall nights come early and stay late, and by November you will spend more of the evening in the dark than in the light. This list is for that time: hushed pads, slow pulses, a few notes that float.
It draws from Sleep Tight and the late-night City Nights records. The volume stays low, and the tempo slows as it goes, so it is easy to drift off. Use the sleep timer in the player bar to fade it out after 15 to 60 minutes.
If you stay awake, it also makes a lovely reading soundtrack. Nothing here asks for your attention. It just keeps the room soft.

What is a good fall playlist for sleeping?
Early Dark: 16 hushed instrumentals with no vocals and no sudden changes. Add the sleep timer so it fades out by itself.
Does it have a sleep timer?
Yes. The player bar has a Sleep button: 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes, or after the current song, with a gentle fade.
Can I use it for a sleep video?
Yes, with credit: “Music by Purrple Cat”, CC BY 4.0.
