The sound of rain on a window in October. Slow, soft instrumentals for wet streets, foggy glass and an afternoon where the weather made the plans.

Field notes: Soft, wet-pavement instrumentals for rainy autumn days
Peak fall has a lot of rain in it, and this playlist is built for exactly that kind of day. The songs are quiet and a little blue, with soft keys and slow drums that sound like drops running down a window. Rain and storm themed records (Eye of the Storm, City Nights) lend most of the tracks.
It is a good background for anything that needs a calm room: reading, writing, knitting, drawing, finishing a puzzle, or doing nothing at all with a very large cup of tea. There are no vocals to snag your attention, and the volume stays even from track to track.
If the rain stops and you want to go outside, jump back to Golden Hour Walk. If it turns into a long night, open Early Dark.
